These works present the outcome of research into Data breaking and the relationship between Sound, Digital Image and Painting. The paintings are produced by Data breaking the sound waves of images, disrupting digital architecture to materialise sonic variations through temporal fractures and interference.
If we think about language, the text code of an image presents as a jumbled mish-mash of letters and symbols. Breaking this code generates new dialects, that when uploaded, collectively contributes to the visual language of the digital world. The accompanying sound files provide a synaesthetic vehicle to materialise paintings and therefore to experience the Internet in sonic form, expanding the role of painting in a Post Internet context.
